Trinidad Aguirre, MBA – President

Trinidad is a United States Navy veteran with more than 23 years of leadership and management experience. He has worked with global senior leadership teams, from SMB to Fortune 500 corporations, to help bring the “art of possible” to life with strategic thinking, analytics, insights, and operational excellence.

Trinidad’s servant leadership approach has had a successful legacy of building, mentoring, and enabling teams to embrace data-driven strategies, innovate to build digital marketing solutions, and optimize performance to meet or exceed the business objective.

He currently mentors military veterans as they transition from active duty to civilian, consults on Hispanic marketing, and was awarded the Minority Business Leader Award by the Dallas Business Journal for his achievements in the business community. 

Trinidad spends most of his free time with his family spending his weekends supporting his son’s baseball team, taking the family camping, selling Girl Scout cookies, or doing some serious grilling with a frosty beverage.

Angela Neal – President Emeritus

Angela is a returning Board member having served as President-Elect (2019-2020) and EVP of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) – 2016-2019. She is a servant leader with a wealth of management experience and has supported fortune 500 companies and start-ups establish or improve their e-commerce and marketing strategies.  In addition to leading AMA DFW, Angela is the founder of Just The Heart, LLC, a creative designs and services company attentively delivering custom and motion graphics, marketing support, and insights for brands serious about their image.

Angela’s track record as a forward-thinking, creative, and analytically competent leader spans multiple verticals ranging from aerospace to telecommunications, healthcare to insurance, automotive, sports, and more.  Some of her successes include creating trajectories with 100% accuracy as part of Ascent Flight Design and Dynamics for NASA Shuttle Missions, recognition as a Spotlight Business of the Super Bowl XLV Emerging Business Program, and 2018 Marketer of the Year for work submitted in the insurance category.

In addition to Angela’s dedication to AMA DFW, she enjoys mentoring and encouraging others, and opportunities to speak to groups on lessons learned and helpful strategies towards achieving goals.

Angela holds a BS Mathematics from Spelman College, MS Mathematics from Tennessee Technological University, Executive MBA from UTD, and BFA Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Dallas.  She enjoys spending most of her free time with family, traveling, championing an insanity work-out, or maintaining postures in Bikram Yoga.

Karen Conway-Gelfand – Board Secretary

In a career that has spanned 25+ years, Karen has successfully leveraged her marketing and communications experience for companies and brands in a variety of industries.

Currently, Karen heads up marketing for TeleWorld Solutions, a telecom network engineering services and solutions firm. In this newly-created role, she is responsible for establishing the marketing department and orchestrating integrated B2B marketing campaigns across all digital and communications platforms.

Before joining TeleWorld Solutions, Karen provided marketing consulting services for several years. She led the digital marketing activities for a FinTech SaaS toll payment solution, developed digital marketing content for SaaS tax products, consulted on the branding for a startup retailer, and more. 

Prior to consulting, Karen served as marketing director for Cintra’s D-FW transportation infrastructure projects including the LBJ TEXpress Lanes and NTE TEXpress Lanes. She also spent 20 years in assorted field, regional and corporate retail real estate marketing positions. 

Karen is a longtime member of the American Marketing Association and has served on the boards of several nonprofits. She and her husband, Jeff, live in Dallas with two spoiled Belgian Malinois.

Louis A. Bergmann III – Treasurer

With more than 25 years of financial and management experience, Louis assists in the oversight of the financial operations of Moroch Partners. Louis’s responsibilities include management of the Financial Services team.

Louis’ day-to-day responsibilities include; strategic planning, forecasting; budget management; financial statement presentation; treasury and asset management; policy development; IRS and GAAP compliance.

Louis’s prior experience includes financial roles with R&R Partners, Warren, Averett, Kimbrough & Marino, AON Consulting, Invesco Financial Services Group and Municipal Funding of Illinois.

He is a member of the Financial Management team for Moroch; Served two terms (4 years) as the Accounting Leader SIG (Special Interest Group) for the Advantage Advisory Council and served two terms (4 years) as the Agency Recruitment SIG for the Advantage Advisory Council. Served 4 years as an Advisory Board Member for CSI (Corporate Spending Innovations).

Ivonne Kinser – EVP Marketer of the Year

Ivonne is the Vice President of Marketing and Innovation for Avocados From Mexico and leads a high-performance team and the innovation agenda that placed Avocados From Mexico in the Fast Company 2021 list of Most Innovative Companies in the world, and the top one in the branding category.

Jeff LeBlanc – EVP Collegiate Relations & Mentor Program

With over nine years experience in digital marketing, analytics, and graphic design and over 40 brands served, Jeff has contributed millions of dollars in ad-driven revenue to brands across a wide variety of industries. In 2020 he co-founded the award-winning Dallas-based digital marketing agency, Luna Digital Studio, currently serving national and global clients with a growing team of digital rockstars in the US and Canada. Jeff is a certified Google Partner and is a marketing analytics nerd who is obsessed with studying and quantifying the impact of marketing efforts on the whole business and customer journey. His work spans SEM, SEO, PPC, CRO, CRM, email, display, shopping ads, organic + paid social, event planning, marketing analytics, graphic design, branding, web design, mobile app design, and UX/UI study and design.

Jeff is an entrepreneur at heart and has a hard time avoiding coffee shops. In his free time, he enjoys reading, practicing yoga (poorly), playing chess, learning new recipes (ask him about his authentic Roman cacio e pepe) and binging TV shows with his wife Aubrie.

Karen VanderLight – Chapter Historian

Melissa Chadwick – EVP of Communications

Melissa Chadwick is a senior vice president at Merritt Group, an integrated strategic communications firm. After spending years in the company’s Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices, Melissa landed in-between to call DFW home.

As Merritt Group’s SVP of Content, Melissa has spent nearly two decades helping B2B tech clients become amazing storytellers. She’s worked with both fast-growth startups and leading brands like Microsoft, Samsung, and Verizon to demonstrate how technology can address some of the world’s most pressing and complex challenges.

Prior to Merritt Group Melissa worked on the Marketing PR team at Nextel Communications (now T-Mobile by way of Sprint) supporting product, industry, influencer and NASCAR sponsorship outreach.

Rebecca Paul – EVP Special Interest Group

Rebecca Paul is a marketing insights and analytics expert with a decade of experience in developing and executing data-driven marketing campaigns that increase efficiency and ROI for businesses. She has a deep understanding of data and employs a range of qualitative and quantitative approaches for profitable decision making.

As a senior specialist of analytics at Mod Op, a full-service digital marketing agency, Rebecca focuses on bringing meaningful insights from data analysis and translates those insights into effective actions that identify strategic initiatives and drive business goals.

Prior to this, she worked with large brands in India aiding them with their national marketing and communications strategy. She brings over 8 years of international experience in marketing strategy, operations, data visualization, and storytelling skills that empower clients to effectively measure marketing campaigns and gain a full understanding of the customer journey.

Rebecca recently completed her Master’s in Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Dallas with a specialization in Marketing Analytics and Data Science. She is a strong advocate of using artificial intelligence and machine learning-powered technology and processes paired with marketing automation to create powerful insights-driven strategies and teams. 

As EVP of SIGs, Rebecca hopes to bring together members and potential members of AMA DFW to engage with like-minded professionals with a shared interest in exploring new perspectives. When she is not researching the latest industry trends, she enjoys traveling, networking, and exploring various forms of art.

Shernay Wormley – EVP Volunteers

Shernay Wormley is a creative-driven marketing leader that is results-oriented with over a decade of design, and marketing experience in education, non-profit, and community, and student engagement. Her love for technology, research, problem-solving, and working with various target audiences has allowed her versatile skill set to be utilized to enhance campaigns, programs, and services in the community with three of the largest establishments in Texas, Baylor Scott & White Health, SMU, and the Dallas College.

Currently, Shernay works as a consultant and leader of digital engagement strategies for small and medium-sized businesses. She also has taught on various levels as an adjunct professor for marketing, social media marketing strategies, computer applications, and Adobe InDesign courses for Dallas College and Collin College.

Shernay enjoys volunteering in the community and started with AMA DFW as a volunteer for SIG (Small Interest Groups). In her spare time, she loves being active with local organizations, (North Texas Food Bank, Special Olympics, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, TangoTab, etc.), attending social events, experiencing different recipes, spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and serving in different ministries at her church. As a leader, she is passionate about inspiring and empowering others to follow their dreams and discover their true potential.

Shernay holds an AAS in Graphic Design and a BS in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Dallas. She has also obtained an MS in Marketing from Texas A&M, University, Commerce, Texas, and a Digital Marketing certification from Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Wendy Traylor – EVP Sponsorships 

With a career in sales and marketing roles, Wendy has spent her professional life assisting high-level executives map out strategies for growth. Beginning in the financial industry, she went on to leadership roles in technology, construction, and the agency world. She now works at Jump Associates, as they consult on future-focused strategies for some of the world’s most admired brands.

Wendy is a Dallas/Ft. Worth native. After receiving her MBA from Texas Christian University, she supplemented her professional ventures with community work, including the Dallas Catholic Foundation, Jesuit Preparatory School, and Journey of Hope. She is now looking forward to supporting the American Marketing Association, as the DFW area welcomes and sustains the many companies that call it home.

Zaneta Sevier – EVP Membership

With more than nine years of digital marketing and project management experience, Zaneta has a proven track record of crafting world-class solutions for clients and brands across a variety of professional sectors.

Zaneta holds a B.A. in Business Management from Concordia University, and as a certified Agile Product Manager, she uses both her education and experience to propel her teams toward ambitious growth targets.

Zaneta currently serves as Global Product Manager at McKesson – a Fortune 7 company and one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical distributors. In this role, she is directly responsible for creating, developing, launching, and maintaining innovative products that increase physician education and engagement. Under her leadership at McKesson, provider engagement has increased by more than 15%.

Before joining McKesson, she developed marketing strategies and solutions across several industries including healthcare, security technology, retail, and non-profit. Her areas of expertise include analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, optimizing A/B testing, creating data-driven marketing strategies, and delivering perfectly timed, customer-centric messaging to drive impact and revenue.

In addition to her professional work, Zaneta is passionate about uplifting others. Before serving as a member of this Board, she served on the AMA Membership Committee, supporting membership retention and assisting with monthly meet-and-greet events. She loves to curate insightful and inspiring experiences for those within her social and professional networks and she regularly volunteers with the Big Brother, Big Sister program of Dallas.
