Maria Gomez Albrecht

President

Maria Gomez Albrecht is an accomplished global marketer with 30+ years of experience in diverse industries. Her specialties include strategic planning, project management, brand and digital marketing, and multicultural marketing. Thanks to her multilanguage skills, she has launched campaigns worldwide in five languages. She is also four-time award-winning business professor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Her latest academic textbook is Principles of Marketing, which features a chapter dedicated to multicultural consumers. She holds two doctorates and multiple professional certifications in Marketing, Project Management, and Leadership. For community service, Maria also serves at other nonprofit organizations. She is passionate about learning, traveling, schnauzers, the Dallas Cowboys, and anything marketing.

Jerome Jones

President Elect

Jerome is a seasoned Creative Director with over 20 years of experience working with top companies such as Tribal DDB, TMi, JCPenney, Xerox Business Services, American Airlines, and Atos IT Services. As a strategic marketer, he has crafted innovative strategies and executed large-scale, multimillion-dollar marketing campaigns that drive brand visibility and consumer engagement. His passion is aligning creative vision with business objectives to produce impactful results. Inspired by the ever-evolving creative landscape and emerging technologies, Jerome also shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Dallas College School of Creative Arts Entertainment and Design. Jerome is a graduate of New York City College of Technology In his spare time, he enjoys painting and drawing in his home studio.

Angela Neal

Immediate Past President

Angela is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology, marketing, and design. Her career began at NASA, where she developed trajectories for Shuttle Missions with 100% accuracy in Ascent Flight Design and Dynamics, before consulting for Fortune 500 companies to optimize e-commerce, marketing, and analytics strategies. In 2003, she founded Just The Heart, LLC, an award-winning firm known for delivering brand strategies and measurable results with 99% of clients coming by referral. As President of AMA DFW (2020–2022), she became the organization’s first Black President, led a major transformation, and launched a Community Engagement Initiative supporting small to medium businesses and small non-profits in the DFW area impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of her many contributions, Angela was named a finalist for the AMA National Volunteer Award in 2022. Angela enjoys speaking on diverse topics, offering lessons learned and practical strategies for achieving goals. She is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Texas at Dallas, and holds degrees in Mathematics (B.S., M.S.), an Executive MBA, and a BFA in Graphic Design.

With more than 25 years of financial and management experience, Louis assists in the oversight of the financial operations of Moroch Partners. Louis’s responsibilities include management of the Financial Services team.

Brandon Hollands

Secretary

Brandon Hollands is a seasoned marketing executive with over 4 years of experience bridging traditional and digital marketing strategies to drive brand growth and customer engagement. With a strong foundation in brand management, print media, and market research, he has successfully adapted to the evolving digital landscape—bringing a data-driven and creative approach to social media strategy, content marketing, and high-impact advertising campaigns. Throughout his career, Brandon has led cross-functional teams to launch integrated marketing initiatives that increased visibility, captured new markets, and delivered measurable ROI. He has worked with both established brands and emerging ventures, helping them build compelling narratives across channels—from television and print to Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Currently serving on the board of AMA DFW, Brandon provides strategic guidance on brand positioning, digital transformation, and omnichannel marketing. His insights help shape growth strategies that align with evolving consumer behavior and technology trends.

Tenille T. Terry

Tenille T. Terry is a globally recognized, award-winning marketing communications professional with over 20 years of expertise in strategic communications, brand management, and operational excellence. Her impactful work has recently earned her a spot in the 40 Under Forty Cohort Quatre, celebrating Southern University and A&M College alumni leaders making significant strides in their industries and communities, and an honoree of the 2026 Dallas Luminary Award (American Advertising Foundation). Tenille exemplifies leadership, creativity, and innovation, shaping the future of the Dallas advertising and marketing community. With a dynamic career that spans the globe, Tenille has mastered the art of enhancing brand equity and driving strategic initiatives for industry giants such as Johnson & Johnson, Neutrogena, Exyte, and H&R Block. A proud Louisiana native, Tenille is a three-time graduate of Southern University and A&M College, earning an MBA, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts. Beyond her professional role, Tenille serves as Executive Vice President of AMA DFW, where she leads the chapter’s popular Cocktails & Conversations series and created its signature Speed Mentoring & Networking event, connecting marketers across North Texas. She is also a Charter Member of the Southern Metroplex Texas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When asked, she says she uses her contagious smile as a superpower, bringing a little sunshine to everyone she encounters.

Peggy Foley

Director, Membership

Peggy Foley is a storyteller at heart who believes the best marketing makes people feel something, see something differently and take action. Peggy leads marketing and communications for the Texas Society of CPAs, guiding brand strategy, membership marketing, content, digital communications and audience engagement. A multi-award-winning television, film, video and live-event producer, Peggy has also coached prominent Fortune 500 executives, organizational leaders and public figures to clarify their messages and connect authentically with audiences. That experience continues to shape her approach to marketing: understand the audience, find the emotional truth and tell a story people will remember. Her career spans the advertising industry, corporate America, national nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurship, including founding and leading her own agency. Over the past decade, Peggy has focused primarily on membership associations, developing a personalized approach to understanding what makes someone choose to join, participate and belong. As AMA DFW’s Director of Membership, Peggy is focused on creating a more intentional member experience and strengthening the value of belonging to the DFW marketing community. Away from work, Peggy is happiest behind a camera at a live concert or on two wheels as an endurance cyclist and ride leader for the Plano Bicycle Association.

Joe Reske

Director, Marketer of the Year

Joe Reske has spent nearly two decades building food and beverage powerhouse brands across CPG (PepsiCo), retail (7-Eleven), and restaurants (Fogo de Chão). Originally trained as an internal auditor, he brings a data-driven lens to marketing, translating insights into lasting brand affinity and novel ways for high-growth brands of all sizes to connect with consumers. His work has been recognized for being disruptive and effective at driving customer retention, and he’s been invited to speak on multiple marketing panels across the country, including at CES. He is passionate about marketing and celebrating the great creative work that drives conversation. Joe holds both a BBA and an MBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Social Media Marketing at the University of Texas at Dallas. He lives just north of Dallas with his wife and two children, and in his free time enjoys traveling and learning the art of backyard BBQ.

Asha Shamdasani

Director, Special Interest Groups (SIG)

Asha Shamdasani serves as Director of Digital Customer Growth at AT&T, where she leads initiatives focused on customer acquisition, digital transformation, and revenue growth. With more than 17 years of experience spanning wireless, IoT, public sector, and enterprise technology, she has built a reputation for driving strategic growth through operational excellence, commercialization, and cross-functional leadership. Throughout her career, Asha has led large-scale growth initiatives that expanded multimillion-dollar portfolios, accelerated customer acquisition, and transformed go-to-market execution. Her accomplishments include scaling a business portfolio from $15 million to $100 million, delivering more than 50,000 incremental customer additions across enterprise segments, and developing sales strategy methodologies adopted by teams nationwide. She has also led the design and launch of innovative targeting programs and growth strategies that strengthened customer engagement and market penetration. Known for her structured, collaborative, and results-oriented leadership style, Asha is passionate about building high-performing teams and creating scalable systems that deliver sustainable business impact. She currently focuses on advancing digital customer experiences and driving growth through data-driven strategy, commercialization, and organizational alignment. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Asha is committed to leadership development, mentorship, and building strong networks that support the advancement of women in business and technology.

Kelly Flynn

Director, Community Engagement

Kelly Flynn is an award-winning marketing strategist with more than a decade of experience across sports, eCommerce, hospitality, financial services, advertising, and emerging brands. Throughout her career, she has led integrated marketing, digital strategy, social media, client partnerships, and growth initiatives for organizations including Forbes and Swag Golf, as well as a variety of established and entrepreneurial brands. Kelly was recognized with the 2026 AAF District 10 Next Wave Award and as a 2026 AAF Dallas Luminary Award honoree. She holds an MBA from Grand Canyon University’s Jerry Colangelo College of Business and recently completed Harvard Business School Online’s Disruptive Strategy program. In addition to her corporate experience, Kelly is the founder of In Like Flynn, where she supports select brands and creators through strategic marketing consulting. She is passionate about bringing people together, building meaningful professional communities, and creating opportunities for marketers to connect, learn, and grow.

Josue Mercado

Director, Executive Luncheons

Josue Anthony Mercado is a marketing and communications leader passionate about building meaningful connections between organizations, their audiences, and the communities they serve. He combines creativity, strategy, data, and innovation to develop marketing initiatives that deliver measurable results. As Assistant Vice President of Marketing for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Josue leads marketing strategy, communications, digital marketing, paid media, website strategy, and brand initiatives. With more than a decade of experience across nonprofit and private-sector organizations, he has developed expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, analytics, content development, marketing technology, and strategic communications. His leadership balances data-driven decision-making with a people-centered approach to marketing. Josue has been recognized as one of DFW’s 32 Under 32, honoring the region’s top advertising professionals under age 32. He has also been selected twice to serve on the American Marketing Association’s National Foresight Panel, contributing to the Future of Marketing Trends Report by examining emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, personalization, data, and evolving consumer behavior. A Fort Worth native and graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Spanish, Josue is committed to advancing the marketing profession across North Texas. Hannah Arcentales

Director, Corporate Relations

Hannah Arcentales is a brand and marketing leader with over 7 years of experience across agency and client-side environments, developing brand strategies, integrated marketing campaigns, and go-to-market plans for leading brands including Kia, McDonald’s, Diageo, Progressive, Cricket Wireless, and Crunchyroll. Her experience spans Hispanic marketing, brand building, and consumer insights, with a track record of translating business strategy and insights into clear brand strategies and marketing programs that perform. Hannah is known for her strategic clarity, resourcefulness, disciplined execution, and ability to build trusted relationships that bring people together around shared goals. She is passionate about developing people and teams, helping others grow into their strengths, and connecting people, organizations, and ideas to create meaningful business and community impact. Hannah is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a Partner with Social Venture Partners Dallas, supporting its mission to strengthen DFW nonprofits. As Global Director of Marketing at Datascan, Becky built and led the company’s marketing strategy through significant growth, helping drive revenue from $19M to a projected $63M. She brings a hands-on, results-driven approach to marketing, with expertise in brand development, product launches, global market expansion, partnerships, and revenue-focused strategy. Becky has a passion for mentorship and strives to support and encourage young marketers as they finish school and begin their careers. Elvis Jocol

Elvis Jocol Lara is a senior marketing professional with extensive brand building and multicultural expertise. He is the Vice President of National Marketing and Communications at Latinos for Education, a national nonprofit organization working to transform education so every child can thrive in a rapidly changing world. He is also the Founder and President of Casa Guatemala, a cultural and educational community organization serving the Latino community of Waltham, MA. An experienced marketing professional, he brings a proven record of brand building and media success. Previously he served as Vice President of Digital Media at El Mundo Boston where he launched the Latino 30 under 30, a first of its kind multimedia initiative that honors Boston’s most influential young Latino leaders. Previously he served as a Manager in Consumer and Market Knowledge at Procter and Gamble under the Gillette Brand. There he led the brand’s Hispanic and African American Consumer research. In 2016 he received a Gold Award for Best Travel Section by the National Association of Hispanic Publications for his Travel Blog to Mexico City as part of the NBA Global Games. He has also been recognized for his service to the community by the Guatemalan Association of Massachusetts and received an official resolution from the office of the Mayor of Boston. He is a 2009 graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management. Tauren Thompson

Director, Programs in TC

Tauren Thompson is the Founder and Managing Director of Elevation Consulting and Management, an Arlington-based media and advertising agency specializing in media strategy, streaming, broadcast, programmatic advertising, sponsorship, and strategic partnerships. His career began in radio and television while attending Cameron University, where he studied Liberal Arts and Communications with an emphasis in Radio and Television and earned recognition through Oklahoma’s collegiate broadcasting awards. Thompson later served as an Account Executive with Nexstar Media Group’s CW33 in Dallas-Fort Worth, developing television and digital advertising campaigns. Today, his work increasingly intersects media, sports, and entertainment. In 2026, Thompson helped pioneer the media and commercial platform surrounding the Midlothian Marshals professional basketball organization, including broadcast strategy, sponsorship, advertising, and corporate partnerships. As Director of Programs in TC for AMA DFW, Thompson is focused on strengthening programming, visibility, and professional connections across Grand Prairie, Arlington, Fort Worth, and the broader Tarrant County community.
