Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas
David Frederick has been the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas since September 2017. He and his team have developed a 3-year vision to effectively market the Y’s mission and cause including a strategy that focuses on advertising, communications and partnerships. He also supports the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth as a shared-service CMO.
David previously served as SVP/Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at United Way of Tarrant County, leading a team of marketers and creatives, delivering world class marketing materials and providing strategic communications and public relations throughout the Fort Worth, Arlington and the Northeast Tarrant communities. David also brings a wide variety of for-profit experience to the Y. Prior to joining United Way, he worked for multiple Fortune 100 companies including AT&T, Time Warner and GE providing marketing communications, digital marketing and strategy.
In addition to his full-time career, David is an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) DFW chapter, where he serves a Director of Nonprofit Marketing Special Interest Groups, and a current member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council. He has a passion for mentoring young marketing professionals to positively provide a listening ear, guidance and resources as needed.
David grew up in South Carolina, earning a bachelor’s degree in Design from Clemson University, and lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 10 years prior to moving to Dallas in 2005. He and his wife, Toria have two beautiful children, ages 12 and 7.

Clampitt Paper Company
Don began working at Clampitt Paper as a young boy but officially started in outside sales in 1980 and became Sales Promotions Manager in 1981, calling primarily on advertising agencies and design studios in the Dallas area. He then became Vice President of Marketing in 1989 and continued in this role until becoming President in 1994. Don worked closely with his father Max until his passing in 2001 and took over as Chairman and CEO. In 2011, Don’s daughter Meredith joined Clampitt Paper as the third generation in the company. She is now following in his footsteps working with advertising agencies and design studios in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In 2016, Clampitt celebrated 75 years of business and is now the last remaining independently owned paper company in the Southwest. Don celebrated 40 years with Clampitt Paper in 2020.
Working with his father for over 20 years and learning from a passionate visionary left a lasting impression on Don, he continues to have passion about his people and his paper leading to the tag line of Clampitt Paper, “The Paper People.”
